Can anyone explain to me why people in the UK post Peter Pig items on Ebay at more than the retail price when you can buy them new from Martin for less. Are they surprised when no one bids for the items? There are currently at least half a dozen such posts. Makes no sense to me, but hey ho if it keeps them off the streets.

Maybe they don't know what they have, and go by other manufacturers prices. There's a FoW A13 in a blister going for £34 on eBay when you can buy it from PP for £5.50 ?

Good point Miles, except the items I am referring to have all been listed either as PP items or in their original packaging.

I think it's all a cunning ploy by Martin to segment the market, and that he's behind those eBay postings.

If people bite on eBay, Martin is quids in and can continue to dream of that Ferrari.

If not, then when punters arrive at the Peter Pig website, they'll see what a bargain they're getting and buy oodles of stuff there instead (albeit at a lower profit margin for the Pig Empire).
