The way i read it.
A shop that provides a gaming area comes under the category of " Designated Hospitality Venue".

Thus, if you book a  hall  for club night then you are restricted to 6.
However, if the venue is set up for gaming on a permanent basis, then that is OK. Albeit players must stay in groups of 6 or less.

Hope Entoyment stays open.

As always, this is the problem - interpretation.

I think you're right Martin. Groups of six, could play together. However, how Entoyment view this, I dont know. I also don't know how this new Rule of 6 will be interpreted by the police, the courts, the councils and the wider general public. As ever, from my side of things, there is no guidance, advice, best practice or standard operating procedure. It's as if Boris by announcing that the police will now come around to your house, tell you off and prosecute you if you ignore the rules that all is crystal clear. It's not. Far from it.

I suspect that our switchboards will now be full of the following calls:

1. I wish to make a complaint. Next door have 7 people in their house. I demand you send a car around now to deal with it.

2. I live at 15 Acacia Avenue. There are 6 of us resident in the household. The other day, my aunty came over and dropped a card off. She was there for 2 minutes. Next thing I know, a policeman knocked on my door and threatened me with a £100 fine.

3. Last week, I rang in to tell you that the toy shop down the road had 28 people in there playing toy soldiers. This clearly breaches the rule of 6. Why have you not prosecuted the toy shop owners and all the people playing with toy soldiers?

4. Why dont you go and catch some real criminals instead of harassing me. I'm a law abiding citizen and if I want to have a BBQ with all my friends and family I will. This is a police state. I pay your wages you know.

5. What a waste of time, I pay my taxes and dmeand that the police take action against my neighbours friends uncles son. He has a BBQ with all of his friends and family. It's criminal how they get away with it.

6. I saw on the telly the other day that the rule of 6 doesnt apply to pubs. Can i go and play toy soldiers in the pub? What about on Wednesdays? What if a bloke comes in called Reg and he wants to join in? Can I eat a meal whilst wearing a face mask and singing Deutchsland Uber Alles in a Welsh accent? No!?!? You're a bunch of facists you are! My grandad fought in the war to stop people like you!

The best complaint we had was "why are the 2 loaders travelling with the driver ? In the same cab ?"
Answers on a postcard !
I did say sometime ago, get me app on my phone/tablet/PS4 and I ll work from home !
We ve got all this to come ?
Must admit if all these people from all over the country hadn't travelled down to "Quiet" Dorset, we wouldn't have such a big problem, Apparently Luworth Cove and Wool are 2 biggest hotspots in Dorset.  Already 2 schools have had to close or make reductions because of the virus spreading.

Sean, you missed the one about the person complaining that 8 officers attended their address to investigate a complaint of Covid offences. Surely the police should only have sent 6 officers. So if the police can abuse the rules, so can I.

At least the host and the offenders will not get a 135 euro on the spot fine, each, for not wearing their masks.

I've just read a social media post from Peter at Entoyment. It sounds as though the gaming room will potentially be shut for most of the winter which will in turn jeopardise the future of the shop  :(

Hopefully Peter will get good advice from the council next week

The BBC website is saying today:

While people will not be allowed to meet up in groups of more than six, indoor public venues are currently allowed to host more than one group at a time, provided that the groups are socially distanced. This includes places like pubs, restaurants and places of worship.

Since we all worship at the temple of Ullr / Hermes / Mercury, this seems to imply that games tables of up to 6 players, socially distanced from other such tables, are permissible?

Like always , the government issue advice, rules and guidelines.
You can follow them , limit the spread of the virus and stay safe or
Find ways round them and risk infection.

Two shops near me are quite of ten busy with no social distancing and about 1/2 not wearing masks
So often I don't bother going in.

Very rare here to go anywhere public and not find everyone wearing masks.

Bars and restaurants insist on everyone wearing a mask until you are sitting down. The staff will always be wearing a mask, and if you get up to go to the toilet  you must wear your mask.

We are only doing the things we have to.
