I'm done for shows this year :-(

But still got the Weymouth weekend to look forward to and I'll be treating myself to an early christmas present to collect. Not sure what yet!

Martin,

The custom mat sounds very interesting, and I'm looking forward to the photos.

Presumably this is a one-off for shows, as opposed to a pre-production piece?

Could there be a possibility of commissioning a double-sided mat ("daylight" one side / night actions on the other) for MOCB for sale through PP?

I think Stewart said that he got a good price when bulk-buying mats earlier this year?

Simon, Martin has painted the road and terrain pieces on to the mat so set up is quicker at shows and punters can get on with moving figures with out going through the start up.
I think as a game the set up can have an effect on the game and players like to have an Input on the game then they can't blame the set up on the result

Colonel Kilgore

Stewart,

Many thanks for the clarification - I understand now. And yes, I agree that the terrain placement is a fun part of the normal game, albeit useful to have all sorted in advance for a show when the focus will be on demo'ing the game mechanics.

I was simply wondering whether a bulk purchase / commission of a 5' x 3' gridded mat (which is a slightly different size to most generally sold) - and double-sided at that - might be an option. While recognising that it was something of a long shot!

We got our mats from tinywargames.co.uk, very good quality and a decent price
