Doesn't always work Sean. I ended up with 2 girls. The older progressed to Enchanted Forest and Midnight Party but not to war-games. She now plays with nuclear submarines with BAE! The younger one got further with games playing Carcassonne and the Blame Game, but she wants to work in West End musicals. So I have to play with myself. Rock on solo wargaming.

I've managed a couple of games of Zombicide with her, and a dungeon game called Dungeon Saga. But that's about it.

She be a art, so I may get her to sit down and see if she can wield a paint brush in anger.

After speaking to the museum, there will not be a Bovington wargames shoe this year.
Some of the reasons - you have to book your time of entry, one way system, restricted numbers also date would be a push. They are trying to get years events into 5 months.

Date booked for the show in 2022 is Saturday 9th July subject to any restrictions that may still be in force.

Thanks for the update, Stewart. I'll try and make sure I'm not washing my hair on 9th July 2022.

Great Simon, pop in on the 8th and I'll put you in the salon

Shame to see the show delayed but you have made the right decision I think Stewart.
Too many restrictions would spoil the day.

2022 would give you a chance to see how other shows have coped?

The tank museum is planning their model show in September so I plan to go along and see how they have spaced the traders out.

They have told me they have limited the numbers of traders and number of tables and spaced them round the one way system.

The museum are looking into have mini one way systems round each hall instead of one big one around the museum that was in place last year.

Wishing to be a bit blunt here; I think any one way system is destined for disaster. :(

Agreed Martin for a trade/wargames show. I mentioned that to them and since their trial last year they have gone for smaller one way routes in each hall so you don't have to go round the whole museum to get back to the first trader you saw.

I still don't think it will work for a wargames show and with you have to book your time of arrival

Stewart,
Looking forward to 2022 is the best approach. The Museum are being rightly cautious as we move out of Lockdown and still facing uncertainty. By next year we will all have lived with the virus under far less restrictions or none.
