Name a wargames item(s) that you loaned out but never got back.

I expect Paul, he is waiting for the pandemic to end. He will then be around instantly? :)

Osprey enemies of rome book set went a few years ago.  But I have e-copies of the books now so I'm not worries about getting them back - ever.

Big Mike

My loss is also a book, European Weapons and Warfare 1618 - 1648 by E. Wagner. A wonderfully illustrated book that cost £30 in 1979 and today sells for £45. At the time I was a member of the Sealed Knot as well as a wargamers and the book was popular with us re-enactor types and I foolishly lent it to a brother in arms and fellow gamer.

Smoking gun

I lent someone a copy of the GW game Talisman never saw it again. I also lent a neighbour my trolley jack he moved and took it with him, never seen him since.
Both big losses at the time, especially the trolley jack as I was unemployed at the time and couldn't afford to replace it.

Best wishes,
Martn Buck

Rommel's 'Infantry Attacks.'  Lent out about 20 years ago and not seen since. I've since replaced it as it's more readily available but at the time it was like hen's teeth. Great read though.

Sean (not THE Sean, another Sean) at our local club.

He asked a club member to paint his Alexander Nevsky 15mm army (created by Peter Pig 1983).

Nothing for 6 months, then Sean saw his army on the FISTICUFFS  bring and buy.
The army was painted nicely and all based up ready to go!

Upon being discovered, the painter villain stated that he was a bit short of money.
Sean had already paid him for the painting.

Several books I had on the 1809 Danube campaign, mainly orbats.  Probably 30 years ago

Grant Wargame scenarios and programmed wargame scenarios.  Goodness knows when.  Replaced, fairly expensively, a while back.

Napoleonic 25mm Minifigs.  1970s

Nothing in recent times as I seem to have become more careful about lending stuff...

Brian

Paul in NZ

I'm still looking to replace those two books..  Grant Wargame scenarios and programmed wargame scenarios.

These are hard to find now.
