Use this thread to post pictures of your Piggie armies in all their glory.

I'll begin adding mine on my return to blighty.

Watched 'green berets' so here is my attempt of Col Kirby (John Wayne) and his men

Colonel Kilgore

What did you think of the film, Stewart?

I found the whole thing a little hard to swallow - notably the wooden acting / let's-all-line-up-to-get-shot assaults during the action sequences.

Have I perhaps misinterpreted the whole thing?

Not sure if I should be seeing a picture but nothing is showing.

Colonel Kilgore

That will be my fault.

I received an admin email - apparently from Stewart - asking me to remove the first picture.

I duly unticked the first attachment box, and the first picture disappeared, while the second remained.

The second one has now gone too.

Sorry folks - this is probably something I need to pick up with the other Simon in due course....

I have added the pic to the original post,

Colonel Kilgore

Oh yes - all good - thanks, Stewart. I thought my first admin task might have gone horribly wrong - thanks!

Opps - sorry that was an attempt to attach a photograph which does not seemed to have worked!

Here are some Romans that I have been working on over the last couple of months or so. Two full Centuries with some Aux support. All of the figures in the Centuries are PP including the officers. Most of the others are also from PP,but not everything else is, for example the Onagers are from Essex Miniatures. Also the basic cart structure for the mobile artillery are from another manufacturer but the bolt throwers and some of the crew as well as the shields are all PP. I am currently contemplating a larger vehicle which whilst not historically accurate will be fun as I like modelling projects.

Nice work.  Are they based for any particular rules or for maximum versatility?

Duncan

Each figure is individually based on a penny, one of the newer ones so they can stand on a magnetic strip in their box for safe keeping and transport. They are not specifically based for any rules.

The movement trays I made are to allow then to be set up in formation as actual centuries but then only require three items to be moved as opposed to 84 per century.

I guess however they could be mounted on any number of size trays for all sorts of rules as people wish.

I am doing some PP Egyptians as well and Celts (Britons) but as they are not PP I guess I should not post them here. I will post the Egyptians at some point though. I have a few ECW units I am doing as well so need to photograph them at some point.
