Played the big D day game at Entoyment today.  Very enjoyable. I  managed to beat Mike's platoon with my 6 platoons and  20 tanks. Well done me.  Yeh game looked magnificent. It all folds down into 2 x 1 foot strips. Excellent all round.  Jess at Entoynet kept us in cps of tea all day. I had 7 cups of tea. Need a wee now :)

Thanks to Mike , Miles and Colin.

Here is a couple of shots from Saturday game

Colonel Kilgore

Nice!

And well done Martin on overcoming such underwhelming odds to break through :)

The British seem to have had more success than at Bovington. Were there any rule changes, was this because there was more time, or were the commanders simply less inept?

Some of those Germans had guns though. Added to that, I could only get 7 tanks on per turn. A tough mission but I succeeded.  Another medal.

The game really was very good. I don't often get to play on such big  tables with such high quality scenery.

We set up the night before, then played 10.00 to 16.00.
We lost 2 LCT with AVREs on board which made it tough going for the advance up the beach.
But I managed to get the right AVREs with the right tools to breach the sea wall and get a foot hold in the town.

They had more tea than at Bovi to oil the wheels of the game.
