Wow! they look fantastic. I really like to see western theatre Reb units. What size bases have you gone for and are you using them with Civil War Battles?

9cm frontage , so can be used on 15cm or 10cm at a push grid

One of the things that I have been pondering of late is whether we really need to fret about formation changes on the wargames table. I would think that in most battles the troops would have shaken themselves out into battle formation before coming too close to the enemy. Are march columns really that necessary as a battlefield formation - maybe an ambush scenario, but otherwise far too dangerous a formation to be in when enemy artillery is around. Similarly, in the Napoleonic period, would troops be chopping and changing between attack column and line on the battlefield? Maybe I should raise this as a question in the discussion section.
