Just about to set up for first play-test game. Having a look through what scenery I have available. Do scenery templates need to fill the whole zone? Just thinking that the rules allow for units to be either in or out of scenery, so is it a good idea to leave an empty area? e.g. in a wooded zone, leave a small part of the zone free of trees so it obvious when units are not getting benefit of cover.

Also, scenery deployment. Each template must touch another, but do they always have to go around the table edge. Can the centre zones ever be used?

Thanks,
Nick

Things are still rough at the moment Nick. New set out on weds  20th.
Any size pieces are fine.
The piece does define the whole zone.
This should remove the need for a marked grid. the combination of spaces and pieces should make a grid, thus sneaking it past non gridders (NG?).
When in buildings, woods or hedges the ward can either hide a bit (be within) or form up properly.
The scenery pieces laid around the periphery is only the start position.
From this start position the defender should be able to move some pieces.

Good feedback. i will
Address this in the WEDs edition.
