While late to the party...  are you progressing with a physical format?  This short of thing would be idea for a blog with a 'magazine skin'. There are minimal costs, refresh updates all that stuff

I understand that you might want a physical version but is probably better than a pdf. It would just need editor and contributors. Its no worse than posting to the forum or creating  word document

Out of curiosity Simon are there any examples to look at?

I just knocked up this

https://rulesforcommonman.uk/the15mm/

but most of the mags do it ... like WI etc . Its where they put all their extra content

there are a lot of pluses. Subscribers push to social media etc

What a great idea - very nice!

Great starting point. Thank you Simon.

if everyone has seen this - can I delete it?  it was only a mock up

Yes I have now had a look. Very professional. i will get the first one done in very basic form. Then it can evolve  and improve.  i want to give the flavour that the magazine is for the "common man" and he can easily be part of it.  that way "he" can say how he might do it better and then be invited to do an article to demonstrate his ideas more. Issue 1 will set the pace and then further issues can refine and expand.
I am keen for the magazine to be "of the people"  more so than "at the people".

The great thing about putting it "on the line" is that it is all changeable at no cost.
The challenge is to keep it going after the fanfare has subsided and folk have other, more pressing tasks to complete.

Once out of the gates of Fort Apache and the band stops playing  the troops still have to be led.

Yes do please delete it Simon and thanks.

Working on a couple of scenarios for submission. Pickets Charge for CWB and part of Monmouth Court House for Washington's Army.

I'll send through done. Have plans for Kawanakajima for Battles in the Age of War following that.

I'll write a shortt piece reviewing the Weekender too.

Stewart 46A

You have been busy, can you put them on at the games weekend next year?

Sean Clark

That's my intention Stewart. I'll possibly do two of the three. I know Chris likes getting his Bloody Barons and AWI out too.

I think that the issues of the 15mm must form a blog as well as any other format. The internet format will allow more ' common' people to access the issues.

We want this to appeal to younger generations who only has easy access to the fantasy world.  To create an easy source of historical gaming the 15MM has got to use the internet to get to this younger generation.

Also the 'blog' type posts will allow video, and other live links to be used to jump to data, and just show activities that cannot be shown with dead data.

There is also going to need to be editorial control on the articles, it will be very uninteresting to have ten pages taken by a 'Walter Snaff' battle report.

Steady on Les - there's been some really great Walter Schnaffs stuff on this Forum - we're a broad church, remember  ;)

I don't dislike WS but do we want a 10  page article in the '15mm'?
Or ten pages of any other batrep for the '15MM'.
