Skellagrim the Hound, a Viking raised by Saxons, is mustering his forces. He has had a bad time of it lately where one of the local Bishops of the Nailed God betrayed him and told the local Viking Lord where his buried treasures were. Skellagrims hall was raised to the ground, his men suffered many casualties and the women were carried off.

But Skellagrim had his own trick up his sleeve and had hidden some men on horseback in the woods who charged out at the last moment and caught the Vikings by surprise. Some of them chose to follow Skellagrim rather than die and have sworn an oath to him. At some point Skellagrim looked to be in a bad situation, but despite a wound to his shield arm he managed to overcome the opposing Viking Lord with a backhand sweep of his sword to the Lord's left leg bringing him to his knees. Skellagrim then finished the Lord off in dramatic fashion by taking his head with one clean blow. Hurrah!

Does Skellagrim have an Irish friend and ability to kill anyone with any object?  Also an amazing ability to carry on fighting whilst the blood pours out of his body?  A worthy opponent indeed.

Not yet. He needs to be sold into slavery, meet his future Irish friend  whilst rowing a ship and then take over the ship and sail to glory.

No I drive down to Weymouth on the Friday lodging at PPHQ before driving over in convoy in the morning.

Martin - that's very kind, but I'm afraid that other duties are likely to prevent me from coming down before the big day...

We had the first lambs last week and more over the next couple of weeks.
