Dropped in to the Bovington show with Martin today.
My impressions were a lot of games were missing and for some reason a few of the regular traders had been moved to obscure locations and were difficult to find.
The bring&buy had been moved into a dark corner near the small cafe and of course this resulted into a big crush. We got there about 1100 and it didn't seem as busy as past years, maybe the nice weather had something to draw with that.
Any Body else visit today or going tomorrow?

It was certainly very spread out. This might be due to the tanks being scattered rather than lined up. This works against rows of traders and games. It means the games are often "behind" tanks and tucked away?  One idea might be a plan of the museum with a dot where each game and trader is. No need to give a full list, but merely to remind folk where to look.

I looked on there (battlefront south) website and they listed 29 traders and only 19 games, I think we had nearly that many games at Fisticuffs

There was also the Wimbledon ladies' final and the World Cup play-off, featuring the national team: these may also have had an effect on attendance?

Oh - and of course there was also a certain visiting foreign dignitary - I believe a lot of people may have headed up North to either cheer of boo him?

Btw, just seen three Ospreys going overhead in formation - never seen any of those around here (down South) before - presumably heading up to fetch him back?

I guess you mean aircraft not birds?

Stewart 29 traders is just one or two more than Fisticuffs. But yes the number of game is similar, were they static display games or very active participation games as you have at Fisticuffs?

The effect of weather on shows is an interesting discussion point, good weather and is the beach the choice? Bad weather and you just stay at home? Summer lots of things to do outdoors, winter again no one wants to go out into the cold.

I did indeed - the ones with the two tilting rotors that seem to crash a lot in Okinawa...
