Here's a French show on the outskirts of Paris. Interesting to see how they do it.
For the competition players their is food provided for their lunches.

That's an impressive website, Les.

And all in 2 languages too!

Do the players get wine with their lunches...?

Maybe we should have beer on tap at the next PP game day?

martin goddard

That looks like a superb convention! Tempted to go next year anyone?

agamemnon

I went to one of their early shows many years ago.  Impressive then and even more so now.  Would certainly consider going next year.

Stewart 46A

I would be interested Martin, take Waterloo or Trafalgar.

Colonel Kilgore

Or maybe Crécy or Azincourt - using Bloody Barons?

martin goddard

Come on chaps there must be one battle the French won...is there??? How about  Dien Bien Phu, they must have won that.  Or Camerone?  Could just take a bag of mud and do Verdun!

Leman (Andy)

Castillon 1453, or how to use lots of guns to blow away those pesky English archers - and, unlike Crecy and Agincourt, the Bloody Barons figures are the right period. Just imagine all those beautiful PP guns lined up!

I'll be happy to help or take a game as well.

The french count Bastille day as a victory, difficult to make it a tabletop game though.
They were the first to officially enter Paris for the liberation.
The battle of Hastings was a french victory!
Joan of Arc won a few battles against the English.

This one may have "legs" Les. Rob and Stewart suggest taking the train. i thought maybe an airplane? As for a game, that will be a group argument /decision. Pirates will be ready by then??
All promising. UK Euro Exit might create a ban all English from Europe.

Leman (Andy)

Unlikely though as I clearly remember people going on European holidays before we even joined the Common Market, let alone the EU.

Thanks, Les - there were some very nice-looking games there. I've found that in France before -maybe nothing particularly flash, but figures and terrain all very nicely modelled and painted. Looks like a good show!

martin goddard

Thanks Les  a really good set of pictures. Well sought out!

Seems to be mainly competition games. There are some interesting demo games there too. Looks like a school or similar location?
If we go, I think we need one of those applications that does instant translate?

Leslie BT

Yes we need to make contact with the club. It would seem that a lot just turn up and play. But if we are travelling so far we need a bit better arrangements.
The core of the show is competitions but their are a number of other games.

Also their were a number of display games often by the games producers/publishers.

The venue is the Salle de fete for Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, a suburb of paris just outside the main peripherique to the south of the 13th arrisomendment.
