A commission piece, actually mainly PSC...

Colonel Kilgore

Lovely painting as usual, Simon.

Nice PP heavy tanks, and I like what you've done with the PSC (?) Whippets. Were the latter basically done with some dry-brushing; perhaps some Army Painter dip and then some weathering powder? I have a box of these and am conscious that they need a bit of toning down, but am worried about over-doing things.

I do have a preference for the Peter Pig figures though :)

Simon well done they look really good, love the weathering on the tanks!

Leman (Andy)

That's a very impressive force and beautifully painted. I too like the weathering effects on the tanks and artillery.

From the PSC pre paints I did

1 panel highlights with airbrush
2 gloss varnish coat
3 pin wash / filter with MiG filter(dark)
4 Matt varnish
5 MiG pigment Europe dust

1 & 2 I wouldn't bother with again as the pre paints have a nasty greasy surface so the paint didn't take too well

So basically spirit based filter and weathering powder

They will be on display as th SB day

Colonel Kilgore

Thanks, Simon - I look forward to seeing them in the flesh next month!

Simon good to see that you will be displaying the methods for weathering your tanks at the SB day.
