As a follow up to a previous thread, I've come up with an 800 point army list for the Scots army at Flodden in 1513.
My question is does a 3 x 3 base formation of Pikes work in the rules? (I've been busy with the SCW so haven't really got to grips with the BB rules yet). I'm thinking this is the best formation to represent the depth of the Pike Blocks which is close to what seems to be the Standard 8 size.
The rest of the army list is made up of Highlanders (Irish in the rules) and Heavy Guns.

You can have 9 bases in a unit, would the officer be one of the 9 bases or would he be the 10th base?
With in the rules you would only want to use the bases with a maximum of 2 bases deep.

Thanks for the reply.
The officer would be part of the 9.
Not sure 2 bases deep will capture the effect I am looking for.
I'll have another think.
Thanks again.

You could use deeper than two but just two count in a fight.
On the whole the weapon types tend to be sim0ple in these rules, fighting troops foot or mtd, in three qualities, and bowmen in the three qualities. Also there are unarmoured troops.
