Andy, Neil, Steve get out those pens and start composing an article please.

I've already sent in painting the WWII Dutch infantry - leastways, I think I have.

martin goddard

You have indeed sent in a Dutch article Andy. It was in the last MILL.  The colour guide for paints was very useful.  I bought those Vallejo colours you recommended.  Thanks.

The article in the Mill 22 is the one I did on using Contrast paints on WWI BEF.

Apologies Martin - turns out that the Dutch article is not in my sent emails, so I'll get onto it shortly. I need to check if I actually included it in a WWII post on the forum. I appear to have been planning to do it, as mentioned on page 40 of this thread, but could not load pictures at the time. That problem is now solved so I shall put together what I have come up with in terms of paints.

You are right Andy.
Ready when you are.

Nowhere near anything ready yet, not even figures a.t.m. but will crack on nonetheless even if I don't meet the deadline

That Georgian rabbit hole is deeper than I thought - as the recent scenic builds suggest. I belatedly realised I'm effectively assembling four armies much like I did with my AK forces. I'm getting there but there is still a long ways to go...

I'm building some new hedges, from Woodland scenic bushes, but struggling to get the PVA/water mix to go hard in NZers wet spring weather...

I may have to seal them with varnish if I cannot get them to stay together.

Cheap hairspray can useful for sealing flock onto trees and hedges.

I am finishing off  or continuing with my Western Styled Africans ? The force I did for Wild Geese. As I can use the same troops to represent the African Kantangense force for Jadotville.
Also sorting out troops to represent the Irish, More  Head Changes ?
I will cheat a bit with these, the Command groups will have the Blue Berets and flags, while the rest of the forces with have normal military coloured berets.
Does anyone know where I can get the Ford Armoured Car that the Irish use please ?

I am painting up my first unit of Bulgarians using Kallistra 12mm Russians.

My plan is to use them for the Balkan Wars and WW1 Macedonian campaign.

I'm working on a Later Visigothic DBA army as a prize for a tournament. These are verrrry old 15mm sculpts from TTG, or 15mm.co.uk. Despite their age they look decent with some paint (even my paint...,🙂).
A couple of Peter Pig figures have been drafted in to fill the ranks. One used to be a ? Parthian standard bearer, but now has a Draco and a big round shield. T'other is def a PP horse, but may be a PP Numidian, not sure. He likewise acquired a big shield and nasty attitude to join the Goths...
