Shame it wasnt more Crimea orientated?
Then these would mix in well with ACW figures ?
But Spanish Napoleonic with some Rifleman and south Essex Regiment?
That was 6 barrels on that Royal Naval weapon ?

After Action Reports / PBI in Zaire 1997
Last post by Joe Legan - Today at 12:53:40 AM
My first post here.  I own a lot of Martin's figures but only 1 ruleset; PBI 2025.  I think it is great.  It is a great enough rule set that it can take my meddling to turn it into a solitaire friendly ruleset.  It, coupled with my campaign rules, allow me to tell various stories of my many companies.  I thought I would post some here if they are of interest to this group.  You can see what I am doing with PBI.

Thoughts welcome.

Then there is a plan.
Maybe the others are keen to go back for a Cunaxa battle as well?

On the basis of "if you sculpt it, I'll play it", I think I am  ;)

[subject to any family commitments that may raise their ugly heads nearer the time...]

I think they have not "properly" announced it yet, but yes it is at the same time.
Persian with Greeks v Persians.
I will need to sculpt a Persian range of course.
Are you up for it?

Is the 2026 Battle Day in the same place as this year, Martin? I can't yet see any details on their website.

Slingshot has just produced it's 360th edition.
At 6 editions per year, this gives 60 years.

I belonged in the mid 1970s (very WRG) and joined again in 2021 (A4 size).
If you are interested in ancient wargaming, then this is for you.

They also organise ancient orientated gaming events. The battle day in 2026
is on Sunday 29th March. The battle is Cunaxa. Persians v Persians with the Greeks in support. We can organise it during the early part of 2026 for those interested. Newbury.

Last year it was the battle of Maldon (vikings v English)run by Miles, Simon, Nigel and myself. I highly recommend this event.

Previously we sent a party to do WOTR at their event.
