Early War Miniatures do a superb range of vac formed trenches and shell holes. Not all the range is currently on the website (their Anti-tank ditches for example) but I've got several pieces and rate them.

Is Discord a phone app or desktop program?
Can peolpe be silenced?

You can access Discord via phone or desktop. All of my dealings are via desktop by choice.

You can, as with many social media platforms, block and/or mute individuals or groups. It's just about becoming familiar with the settings.

I haven't. Sounds interesting.

I started out with box files but now it's all Really Useful Boxes with the MDF trays from Warbases.

I haven't bought into the Zebras but I do have a surplus of PP civilians. I am undecided as to whether I could start with 36 civilians on the table but removes as the countdown goes up. Or, whether I start with no civilians on the table and add them on as the countdown goes up (rubberneckers come to gawp at the war).

My other thought was to have 36 blue helmets and add these observers as the game goes on. But, I guess these could be confused with a faction.

The Company Rules (TCR) / Re: Turrets for TCR

Quote from: sukhe_bator (Neil) on April 23, 2025, 10:15:31 PMI recall an issue of 'Rogue Trooper' in the 80's where a line of automated sentry turrets like robotic postboxes were airdropped to form a line...

Neil

I remember those. The other Rogue Trooper aspect of linear defences I recall was the bio-wire, like a semi-sentient razor wire which also appeared to have limited mobility.

AK47 Republic / AK47 Records
April 28, 2025, 03:09:51 PM
Hi folks

Curious. Does anyone have any insight into what might be considered previous AK47 records? For example:

  • Most players participating in a single game
  • Most AK47 armies on a table
  • Biggest AK47 table
  • Or similar

Of the games I've played, I think it was attacker wins generally.

I haven't done Salute for a few years now. I'm not a fan of the bigger venues especially as they seem to have more noise and more crowds. There's always someone who doesn't care that their rucksack is hitting people or others who block the displays for half an hour ruminating before they decide to spend 50p on something; its far worse than going shopping with the Missus! Kensington Town Hall was my favourite.

That said, I hope you enjoy. I may well see Grimsby's finest at Partizan instead!

That's just temptation to build a Wolfie Smith army for AK47. Scorpion tank and the Houses of Parliament as a special scenery piece...

Quote from: Richard G on March 27, 2025, 04:26:34 PMGood afternoon
We are having an event for the AK47 day in May.

Whereabouts Richard?

I ran an AK47 event in Sheffield last year, in May, and was thinking about doing similar but simpler. We did manage to run both Classic and Reloaded games last time but might just go with one ruleset (maybe Peoples Edition) this time.
