Thanks, Andy. Hope all's going well in the Netherlands. Sorry, Martin. Probably best I 'pass' on that for the time being given my lack of time to do all of the things I should be doing these days ... but who knows in future?

Best wishes for the festive season and the New Year, everyone!

You're too kind, Martin - although it helps to look at my painting at a distance!  ;)

I know what you mean by the social media thing. I resisted for ages then finally gave in primarily for wargaming purposes. I clicked on the Facebook link above and now see that it doesn't allow you to view many pics if you're not on FB. So, I'll try to blunder on and post some more pics below.

In spite of my 'adequate' painting, the figures were greatly admired by my opponent as were the Peter Pig flags. As for myself, it was great to get them out of the box again.

In the above photo, my opponent was hoping a runaway train would appear (but luckily for me, it didn't)

Quite a busy FB page - always new stuff being posted. Mine was posted only 18 hours ago and already being buried under subsequent posts! Again, if interested, try scrolling down further. It's under my 'other' name, Andy - David Henderson.  :)

Eye Candy / ACW game

Hi, I posted some photos yesterday on the Facebook Valour & Fortitude page of a game played by myself and pal, Steve, if anyone's interested.

I only mention because it exclusively features Peter Pig figures.

Got the CD. Listened to it often. Sounds great, pricey or not (you're a long time dead). 8)

And they come in various jaw types. Here's a useful video on the different types available:-

Yes. Still available, Julian (sorry, I've not been logging in as usual lately so didn't see your post - how time flies!   ::) ).  Let me have your contact details and I'll send them on.

(I've sent you a personal message - at least, I think I did - can't find the copy!  :D

Nicely painted and based Peter Pig figures, indeed, Norm.  8)

Thanks, Simon - as you will have guessed, the figures alongside the buildings are all Peter Pig ACW (plus a Peter Pig fence before the Robinson House).

Just realised, guests or members who have not logged in might not see the attached photos of the buildings, so here's a link to the Hovels website:-
http://www.hovelsltd.co.uk/acw15mm.htm

Both buildings were painted by Hovels in exactly the same way as shown on their site.

The Stone House and the Robinson House. Both 15mm scale and pre-painted by Hovels. £7 each plus P&P - saving £10 each on Hovels' pre-painted price.

Me, too - 'retired' the digital camera years ago now, to the extent I no longer take it on holiday with me (when there was such a thing as 'holidays').

Good question. Hadn't really thought about it (barring an unexpected set back, I had assumed a relative degree of 'normality' would have returned). I've received my first vaccination and should have received my second before June so I would feel reasonably confident. But what if my opponent hasn't? Who is most at risk? Should one of us or both continue to wear masks?

I should probably start buying actual primer. Currently, I water down old pots of black or dark grey hobby paint when the paint gets that thick, sticky way. I then brush this on to make sure no pooling collects in the nooks and crannies on the figure. Sean's right about using cheap brushes. One down side is that it really messes up your brushes so naturally, old ones are selected for this purpose.
