General discussion / Re: Do you count rivets?

I guess I'm fairly high up on the river counter spectrum. I'll spend a lot of time researching markings for a specific vehicle I'm building for example. Having said that I won't necessarily attempt to produce an exact replica of the original so storage may be similar or markings are for a different division.

What I will try not to do is expect anyone else to confirm to my idea of river counting or offer unsolicited advice.

My standard system is
Paint base Brown
Glue small areas of Woodland Scenics Talus.
Rest of base covered with Brown ballast.
Once dry static grass applied.
Generally I've only used tufts with 28mm but have included them in the Eastern Front forces I've just started on. These are attached before the talus.

Syborg do everything in resin too. You have to click on the resin option when ordering. If you look at their WWI aircraft and compare the pictures the difference is quite obvious and the resin is much better.
John

That's good to know, not checked their site for a good while, cheers.

Bought a few bits which I was perfectly happy with.

Like others now prefer resin prints which I generally order from Battlefield 3D or Lancer.

I've used it to make washes, seal decals and fixing static grass do find it very useful.

Conversed with him online since I found wargames forums 20 years ago. A sad loss to the community.

The bridge that's blown up in Dunkirk (1958) is not far from where I  live and on my route to work.

Martin

It's the only one of theirs I've built and it is good but can't really go far wrong with a handful of pieces. Will be interesting to do one of the more complicated kits.
