Workbench and Suggestions / AK47 Range Additions
July 28, 2022, 10:38:15 AM
Hi Martin,

Over on the AK47 FB group we've been banging our heads together to come up with some ideas for gap fillers in the AK47 range. Here's what we worked out, which we were wondering if you'd consider for some sculpting, at least one or two if possible.

Delta Force in baseball helmets

FFL with LRAC

Aid workers / medics

Professionals in Shorts - Command with sterlings, GPMG teams, Crew, KIA

Militia snipers

Militia on motorbikes or camels.

USMC with TOW

USMC with Dragon

IDF with Dragon

IDF with M203

IDF with SLR

Professionals in jumpsuits (fireforce)

Wild Geese character pack

We've tried to go for things that can't be done with just headswaps and also things that would be popular, with one or two niche exceptions.

Thank you for your consideration and time.

Jim (on behalf of 376 FB group AK47 fans)

I think it depends on just that, if you do Facebook or not.

I didn't until relatively recently but have really been blown away by all of the content that's available for different rules e.g. for the TFL canon, and by the reach that FB has.

I do take your point about the RFCM forum, however, which is why it would be complementary not in competition with what's already here.

Some thoughts on my blog (where there's also quite a lot of AK47 related stuff):

These thing in the top picture is actually a truck mounted AA flak vehicle, used by the Freikorps in a ground role.

The Freikorps had all sorts of wacky vehicles, some captured and some army issue. I particularly like this one:

In game terms, I'd divide armoured cars into MG and Tank Gun armed ones.

I also divide tanks into big (MKIV's, A7V's) and small (FT17's, Whippets), with a similar division between tank gun and MG armed tanks (if they have a mix of both the tank gun is the one used for firing).

No more than that Martin.

They will be expensive, perhaps the equivalent of old tanks in terms of points.
