Many years ago, I worked out a couple of political flow charts for the German Revolution / Weimar Republic, which I posted in the old group. These were for the Freikorps and Communist / Spartakists. I found them on my hard drive the other day and wondered if they'd be of interest? I had plans to add more (interventionist / occupation forces, nationalist / separatists) but never got round to it, or the rules tweaks to go with them.

Please do Jim
That would be nice.
Shame to waste a piece of work.

Jim

OK Martin,

I'll add them to the forum.

It's just struck me that the chaps in the photo below are modelling an interesting way of hanging one's potato mashers....

Thank you Jim!

martin :)

No Problem.

The only thing that needs wiggling is the D6 cost for each box and the sequencing of the flow chart, as I think it would be better with some adjustments.

Incidentally, I haven't worked out M/R/P ratios or limits for each army but in case you were wondering:

Militia = militia (factory workers, armed civilians, rioters, volunteers etc)

Regular = regular (ex-army, ex-sailors, line interventionist occupation troops, police etc)

'Shock' = professional (Reichswehr, stormtrooper units, hardcore naval troops, elite interventionist troops etc)

Left to Right (Freikorps) = Regular / Professional (shock) / Militia)

Has the man on the right really brought a tankard to a battle?

martin :)

Jim

He is militia...so why not?  :o

Jim

I'm more worried about the hat  :-\

Colonel Kilgore

And the poor man's Lederhosen aren't exactly a fashion victory for the militia either...

Jim

Thinking about this for the two forces I've worked on so far:

Freikorps

Between 1 and 2 units must be militia
Between 1 and 4 units must be regulars
Up to 1 unit may be professional / shock.
No militia units may have tanks or armoured cars.
No more than two units may have tanks or armoured cars.

Reds

Up to 3 units may be militia.
Up to 3 units may be regulars.
No units may be professional / shock.
No militia units may have tanks or armoured cars.
No more than one unit may have tanks or armoured cars.

martin goddard

When you say armoured cars Jim. Are you limiting it to 1 or may be 2.

martin ???

Jim

No more than that Martin.

They will be expensive, perhaps the equivalent of old tanks in terms of points.
