So , looking down the line, is there a desire for this?

around the same time , same format ... 1918 armies?  the Big Push?

Colonel Kilgore

Absolutely!

Cooler aircraft; bonuses for Brits with Lewis guns; still scope to use cavalry; Whippet tanks... ... all facing Stormtroopers with snazzy helmet paint jobs... - what's not to like?

I'd been wondering about whether you had the appetite to organise another event, so am delighted with your post.

As long as it's a Saturday outside of the school holidays, I should be OK, so please pencil me in, pending finalisation of a date.

Interested in taking part, free all dates at the moment but I sometimes get work at short notice

Simon

Sounds good - hope I can make it!

Dates for your diaries

Hi,

I'm just getting into Square Bashing (thanks to Ray Boyles  :) )

Where are the Square Basing days held? Is there a cost? I'm guessing the army I would need to bring would be based on the theme of the day?

Thanks

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I'm glad to see Ray has press-ganged into this set of rules  :)

The SB is held at Battlefield Hobbies , in Northampton. Most likely Sat 23rd June 2018. Entry £15, that is for 2 games and lunch. The theme will be 1918. As our original remit was to follow the centenary of the war - and lots of folks have the armies from 1917 this year. I suspect that 2019 will have  funkier theme!

thanks
Simon

Simon,

Thanks for the reply.

To be fair, it hasn't taken much pressing!  ;D

Thanks for the information. I'm actually working on Ottoman and Anglo-Indian armies at the moment. So don't really have anything for the Western Front. If I get those finished (and the other couple of projects I'm working on) I'll see if I can get some Western troops painted up as well. No harm in having multiple armies I suppose!  ;D ;D

Ryan ,

Ottomans are allowed - in fact they won last year!  I've just published the lists in the stock thread in this forum

Ryan Green

Fantastic! That's very good to hear. Certainly makes it more likely I'll be able to have a pop at it :)
