The SCW  produced a whole array of interesting posters.
Here is a thought provoking Republican one.

Do post your ones here.

That's a pretty awful image. War Time propaganda is terrible sometimes. The Spanish Civil War saw atrocities on both sides, but it is fairly well acknowledged that extra judicial killing of civilians was way worse on the Francoist side than it was in the Republican zones.

The clergy suffered terribly for their support of the right wing agendas, accumulation of wealth and siding with the Rebels. But that was mainly committed by the anarchist factions in the North West in and around Barcelona.

The Francoist forces killed around 10 times more civilians than the left wing forces. Clearly any civilian deaths are abhorrent. Post War has scaled back the numbers killed by Franco, but mass graves are still being exhumed.

Whilst not a poster as such, my favourite image is Picassos Geurnica, which is the best image of anti War propaganda you will find.

The 90th anniversary  of the bombing of Geurnica has just passed where Hitlers airforce practiced their bombing of civilian targets for over 3 hours. Anyone who says that they were aiming at a single bridge and simply missed, needs to check their sources.

Reminds me of the George Hills book Battle for Madrid.

I like this cubist depiction of Franco.
