After a big reorganisation of my wargames storage, painting and study room, I rediscovered all the new style packs and commanders I had bought a couple of years back and decided to reignite this project. currently I am working on levy, retinue and household infantry, plus commander packs and a few extra markers and bits of scenery for the First St Albans scenario. I'm also rereading the rules and feeling very enthusiastic about this.

Good stuff Andy - I have a lot of WOTR stuff in my lead mountain. Maybe next year...?

Do please share some photos as you work your way through this project.

I thoroughly enjoyed our game at the weekender Simon, despite it being possibly my worst ever defeat. Of course, I blame John woh was on our right wing  ;D

Andy,

please do share your progress. It's always a great motivator seeing other peoples progress.

Leman (Andy)

Will do. Currently painting a unit of levy, with other stuff to follow to play the First St Albans scenario. After the that will be the various units of cavalry, plus wagons for the wagon laager and a few other bits and bobs for Blore Heath.

This brings joy Andy.

Good luck

martin :)

Leman (Andy)

Thanks Martin. You'll be pleased to know that I will be needing more figures. I'm also enjoying painting up the newer figures, which are giving my big base units a very varied look, pulled together by livery coat colours, where applicable.

Colonel Kilgore

I'm very interested in seeing how you are approaching these figures. Would you mind sharing photos in due course, please Andy?

If you look back at my thread, How I base Bloody Barons, you can see some of the previous work I did a few years back. It is this system I am now continuing with, but the difference is that I am now using Contrast paints on the main articles of clothing to speed things along, thus the levy with padded gambesons are getting a nice coat of of Contrast Skeleton horde over a white primer. Armour and weapon blades get a black primer over the white before acrylic metals.

Almost all PP figures - a Yorkist levy contingent led by Sir Fulk Bourchier - flag purchased through the Lance and Longbow Society.

Very nice, Andy - thanks for sharing.
