It used to be that the big tourney was the LVGT (in Las Vegas) around 800 players , but I see that the London GT surpassed that at over 1000 players this year at Crystal Palace.

Thanks Simon.
That is impressive. Not much sitting down.
Only one chap seems to have heard the "say cheese".

The advantage of Romsey (not Romney) is its' catchment area. It has Southampton, Eastleigh, Chandlers Ford, Winchester and Salisbury all fairly close by.

Also I have just read that Goblins Nook (Botley) is moving very soon to a larger premises in Shirley. I think they are mainly Warhammer etc.

My local gaming store Grim Dice started as stall on the indoor market selling mostly Warlord Games products, they had a table for games. After a few years the old model shop down an alley near McDonalds became available and they moved there, having added GW and CCG to the products carried. This was a larger shop allowing more room for tables and they expanded further by opening a gaming area on the upper floor.

Most recently they have a large single level retail unit near the railway station, on the edge of the town centre, they seem to be doing well. They use North Star as a wholesaler.

Best wishes,
Martin, from a small village near Grimsby
