What a lovely looking game. I really fancy a British army, but I'll probably opt for a retreat to Dunkirk army as I like the early war tanks.

PBI does look nice on the table. I've been looking at Abteilung on and off for a while. I wonder whether there is a case for a gridded game on a 5x3 representing a battalion level game of WW2? Maybe using similar mechanics to PBI and of course, mostly the same troops, but calling a platoon a company and maybe a few more tanks/support types?

I dont want to be blamed for distracting you or putting ideas into your head...but I think it would be a good idea

I must get Abteilung out sometime. My memory of it is sketchy. You know it better than me.

I think it would be in need of modernising with a grid and some tweaks with more up to date RFCM mechanics.

Might be a long Mill article to examine how it could work?
