Stewart and I worked on the show game of 4 PBI turns.
Pre laid table 4x4.
Russian 2 platoons.
Germans 1 platoon (with na extra MMG added).
Only 4 turns to capture as many building squares as possible.
2 bases needed to hpd a square.

At the moment  victory points are D6 per square.
Probably a bit too wild but we can develop that.

I did apply some yacht varnish to the marsh areas and it was very stinky. apologies to anyone  who smelled it.

Stewart 46A

After the games played, I would suggest
German - 2 x D6 per building held
Russian - 1 x D6 per building held

I might come up with a new system to test out some maths Stewart?

Idea 1
Roll 4D6 + 1 more D6  for excess over opponent.
No re-roll.

Player with more D6 chooses his best three results.
Player with fewer D6 chooses his worst three results.

I would expect the loser to only have 3 or fewer D6 to roll.
I would expect the winner to have 4 or 5 squares.

This should give results not too far from each other.
How does that sound?

Stewart made the good point that the German defenders will rarely have many squares. However, there should be a chance for the germans to claim they have done well to hang on.

I will come back with idea 2.
