Squarebashing 2026 is to be Saturday 20th June 2026, at Battlefield hobbies in Daventry.

Armies dated 1916 to 1918 can be used

Format
Pre-organised games with players playing people they don't normally play. Other than at the SB days!

Can you please purchase tickets promptly , just so the venue has an idea on the lunch requirements.

Battlefield hobbies is always welcoming.
Lower numbers but high quality gaming.

At the moment I'm unable to get there as my electric car doesn't have the range with out a charge which would mean leaving very very early and the same home so too long a day

Stewart Drive to mine then come up with me ? As long as we have petrol in this country still by then ?
I will be buying a ticket at end the of this month, SB has been on the bottom of my priority list sorry to say, as funds are a bit low at the moment so my hobby spending wallet, so it has been a bit tight.
My spare cash I did have , had to buy some more Persians for the SOA game.

I'm not convinced my 3D printed Americans will be done in time for me to paint them. Which is annoying as I purchased the files and resin when the event was first advertised.

If they don't arrive, I'll be using my late war British as Americans in their place.

Ok Stewart fair enough. Grandad duties do rank as high as playing Soldiers.
Unfortunately we do have to choose which I hate, especially when it coincides with our battle days !

Here is my army for the big push.

Army 50: US ARMY 1917-918
Army status value: 46

8 regular infantry
1 professional infantry
4 field guns
6 machine guns

Total = 618 points.

I have paid the extra 7 points per infantry unit. This gives them +1 per unit in fights when attacking or defending. It represents the unit having access to the BAR lmg.

I will be trying to attack on both games. If successful, I'll be throwing caution to the wind and trying to end the war by Christmas.

It will be very loosely based on the 89th division  from the IV Corps which fought at St Mihiel that started on 12th September 1918.

Any thoughts on what you're taking?
