I often plan way ahead.
Months ago I ordered the new Osprey on Oda.
It has been continually delayed.
Not really a problem for me at all.

Can you give some  amusing reasons why it might be delayed.

Could it be due to the speaking tour Oda is going on? They probably want the book and tour to co-incide?

Oda's author very sad,
The words refuse to fill the page,
Martin doesn't care however.

To answer Martin's original question, I think it is indeed a scheduling issue, but more about not clashing with Kylie's Christmas number 1.

They probably didn't Oda enough copies from the printer.

Hang on, Osprey book on the Oda? Turnbull has just done one for Helion on Nobunaga. Do you mean that one?

Is it this one Martin, or an Oda one?

Published 4th December apparently. Maybe Santa's elves haven't finished reading it yet. I'd expect a big order of your Samurai figures heading out to Lapland.

As I tinker with my own Samurai rebuild, this book is tempting me  but I've just recieved 3 books on Culloden for Christmas so must take a look at those first.

As a not particularly interesting point of trivia, Nobunaga, Maeda Toshiie and Sassa Narimasa are wearing the same armour in that Helion illustration as in the plate in the Osprey "Samurai Commanders 2."

My error. Yes, the Helion one. Maybe he is as confused as me and turned at the wrong publisher's meeting. The "Nobunaga house tidy" or "Oda's cook book" volumes?

Oh gosh.
Date for delivery now April - July 2026.
Probably because of Venezuela?
