At last, the AK is out.
A year or so of play testing and all done.

Thanks to all the play testers.

I think it is a fine set of rules.
I am more interested in it being a good set of rules than selling large quantities, although that would be a nice thing.
Marvellous.

The printed version should be here at the end of the month.
Let us see how well it sells?

Well done Martin. I know what a labour of love these new rulesets are to finalise.

The PDF rules look great - lots of nice coloured photos and text.

I'm looking forward to buying a printed set, which I'm sure will be very popular. You may even sell a dozen to the folk on this Forum? ;D

I have ordered 300 printed copies.
I need to sell 190 in order to break even.
i.e 2/3 must be sold before any profit arrives.

Well, I'll have one at Colours - I'll probably be picking one up for Barry as well, so that'll be two sold - only another 188 to break-even...  ;D

As soon as it is shown as orderable on the webstore, I'll put the show pre-order in!

I appreciate that the print version is not yet available for order, but the "Want to know more?" button in the Print section does not appear to be operating. It does in the PDF section, though, so maybe something needs re-wiring on the PP website, Martin?

It's great to see it is out.
I will order my printed copy at the end of the month, ready for Colours.
Also I see the new counters set.
Thank you for the PDF copy.
Roll on Colours.
Can't wait to get our Wild Geese on the table ?
This should be a Gaggle !
Wonder how hot it will be this year ?

Hate to keep asking the same question, Martin, but will the printed copies be listed for sale (on the webstore) in time to include them with a COLOURS pre-order? I don't want to leave placing the rest of the order too late and give you extra hassle at the last minute!  ;)

Jon.

martin goddard

Thanks for asking Jon.
The printers are having some problems due to the complexity that the included extra free play sheet and spiral binding incur.
I expect the printed set to be on the PP website for Colours collection 30th August (??)
This cuts it fine, but it should work well.

List price £28, less 20% at Colours makes that £22.40.

Thanks Martin! I'll keep looking out for it, and get my order placed as soon as I spot it!  ;)

Hi Martin,
At risk of becoming incredibly annoying... I have to ask if there is any sign of the printed copies yet, as there's only a couple of days left now to get the Colours pre-orders in for them...??

Or, if they're not up in time, can we just tell you we want them, pick them up at the show and pay you on the day? ;D  ;D  ;D

All the very best,
Jon.

martin goddard

I am chuffed that you are keen Jon.
I am expecting them here at HQ in the next couple of days.
There has been a delay about which I know nothing. AArgh!

If I take pre orders and then do not have them I will have to send them out  tracked delivery which will kill any sales profit.
Instead, if folk bring £23 cash they can get their printed copy on the day at colours cheaper than the £28 website price.

When  the rules arrive I will be straight on here to trumpet it.

This is all down to the wire I am afraid.

The best laid plans.......

Hi Martin - thanks, that is an excellent solution all round - I'll see you on Saturday, clutching the money for three copies (mine, and for two chums!).

I know EXACTLY how frustrating it is... many moons ago I picked up the first box of one of the FT books from the printers the afternoon before Salute, and it wasn't until we were at the show the next morning that we discovered there was a page duplicated (and the other one missing)...

I can laugh about it now!  ;D  ;D  ;D

We have walked in the same moccasins Jon.
