Please allow me to extol the virtues of this texture paint for bases.

It comes in various colours. It applies really easily to a figure base. It can have a little wash added if you want. It dry brushes very nicely. It's hard wearing.

10/10 from me.

Thanks for sharing, Sean.

But in what way is it "interactive"?

Simon

Sean Clark

Interactive is just the company name I think.

It's similar to Basetex, but goes on a lot smoother. The texture is more subtle than Basetex too.

I can also highly recommend

Who do the same textured paint but slightly different shades. Something for everyone!

Thanks Sean.

I've been happily using the Vallejo equivalent for some years now.

Thanks Sean. Gosh there's a vast range of muds on offer here. There's even a special Vietnam mud! Which of course will give rise to 'You've used the wrong colour mud on your NVA bases. A refreshing change from accusations of using the wrong Dunkelgelb! The only mud they don't have is that 70's pop band. Time for me to try something new. To date I just use builders sand which I wash and dry brush.

I used their Snow on my Finnish. Really good and very easy to use.  Even when its dried out in the tub after non use kit comes back to life with a few drops of water.

Good morning. Could I have this shirt cleaned "express," please?
Yes, that'll be three weeks, dearie
Three weeks? But the sign outside says 59-minute cleaners!
Yes, that's just the name of the shop, luv

Surely  there is a gap in the market for  15mm pop bands?

John Watson

Blimey!
I detect another Bonzo's fan.
Martyn S. I use the same system. Builders' sand, which I sieve to remove the oversize bits. I paint the base with PVA, dip in sand, paint a base colour and then dry brush a highlight. After that I titivate it with flock and/or tufts. I wonder which turns out cheaper. I paid about £5 for a bag of sand about 10 years ago and I still have some left. PVA is cheap and the paints for the base can be the cheapest available, not your expensive Army Painter or Valeho.
In 1939 I bought my wife a new electric iron. She's been using it everyday and it's never needed repair.
