So we could use a 5 x 3 with 6 inc squares for CK as long as you remember that they are 12 x 6 rectangles ? At home or with an opponent you know at least ?

Can't get my head around the above statement  :o

Indeed Miles.
It is the number and array of the squares that matter. Not the size.
This allows players to make a mat to suit their table size.

Apropos this particular conversation, Geek Villain have just announced that their battle mats are now back in stock.

Andy what I was asking, instead of having a separate mat with 12 x 6 rectangles? Can I use a normal gridded 6 inch Square mat but remembering 2 squares make a rectangle!

CK is a 6x5 array(grid proportion).

Using 12x6 templates would give a table size of 6 feet by 2.5 feet.
It might be easier to let the templates overlap the normally marked CK 10" zones.

If you play CK more than 3 times in a year then buy a £6 piece of material and use your existing 12x6 templates with a little bit of overlap.

You will be down by £6 of course.
If you want, I can easily find some cloth for you Miles and you can have it for free.

The cloth will also fold up quite small if space is an issue.

And if it gets cold, you could use it as a blanket!

Ok I will go and buy a proper mat at sometime ? See if there's any deals at beachhead ? As I need 2  5 x3 mats ? One for CK, and one for AK47-SCW.
