That's a very definite "yes and no" It would appear that elements of the Tuareg range are usable from C&K via PITS to AK47. The discussion revolves around the degree of weaponry to be made available given, I believe, that we have more or less agreed, that there is no significant changes in Arabic clothing to matter to most people and much weaponry, and shields, seem to have much longevity.

Indeed, I think I have successfully recreated a 60's Tuareg force using Minifigs and Blue Moon C19 Berbers and Tuareg interspersed with Irregular Afghan Mujahideen, PP Tuareg, Dervishes and AK47 militia with Tuareg headswaps...

Well post it in the AK47 pages then this is for 1880's British colonial games.

The problem is a lot of their dress even 100 years or so down the line is very similar even if their mode of transport and warfare is not ?
So unfortunately the 2 will overlap, especially as AK 47 is in the foreground of a lot people's minds at the moment!
I have started a separate AK47 vehicle thread in AK47.

I have to agree with Leslie on this. I look forward to C19th stuff appearing on the forum, so talk of assault rifles and Toyota vans in an 1880s thread seems a bit awry to me. I think a discussion of a figure across various time periods should appear in general discussion, as it is by its very nature general.

Moving the chat to a more general area makes sense. Admin action required? Are there other figures which, rivet counting apart, can cover such a wide historical range?

Agreed, sorry if I've muddied the Nile waters with my stream of consciousness re Tuareg...
