Bad luck

Tonight I was due to run a game of Hammerin Iron for Jase Hurst from the Stoke club. Jase has done a bit of painting for Martin in the past and is certainly an expert wielder of the brush.

My hex mat is usually stored in the garage along with other bits of wargaming material. We are currently undergoing some building work at home which has spilled over into one of the garages.

I spent 2 hours searching for my mat to no avail. My only conclusion is that the builder has mistakenly disposed of my mat on the skip that was removed early last week.

So no game. I've consoled myself by painting some SCW Anarchists whilst I ponder what to do. I have a large blue felt cloth which I may draw my own hexes on. Or i am left with the option of buying another mat.

The flag is flying at half mast over the Clark residence tonight.

Are the builders also great players of Hammerin Iron.

I am sure Martin will happily sell you another one.

Commiseration Sean, but if the builders got hold of and left it it paint and plaster soaked it would still not be of much use.
