I can do a British "Home Guard" style army against German Paras ? With or without guns, A/cars and transport?as the tanks were left at Dunkirk ?
Or I can do a Crete style British and Commonwealth army against German Paras ?
I can bring a cloth and table for either scenario?
Basically EW British in England or Mediterranean? Against there rugged foe ?

Like I said Stewart I can do an opposing British infantry ( home guard) against EW German Paras and of course a complete Europe/Mediterranean table.
Depending on who can be there? If not I will borrow a Para army please ? Or I can style a glider borne force ?

I spoke to Stewart yesterday, about the possible Bank Holiday Sunday jolly at Entoyment at the end of the month ?
So with that in mind, is this going to be a Para v Para or are will there be Paras dropping in on normal or Home spun infantry ?
I know depending on how many can actually turn up for this weekend will make some options viable or not ?

The theme is "no armour".
It would also give a chance to see paratroop  armies in play.

All players should, if they can, bring a paratrooper army.
If a player does not have a paratrooper army he can bring an infantry army.
Towed guns are allowed. No transports, tanks or ACs to make the event more interesting.

I was not thinking of paratrooper v local defence forces, but that would certainly be a nice theme for a PBI day.

The paratrooper day will probably feature mostly veteran armies.

Using foot only armies  will be interesting to see in terms of scenery choices and asset choices. Will they be different knowing that there is no enemy armour?

I don't see much  infantry only (both sides) games at company level in any other rule set.
Those rules might allow it, but does it happen much?
In PBI an infantry only force  can still win. I want to encourage that.
I suspect that in those rules "infantry only" would be doomed?

Well I am happy to do a Crete 400 point army themed game on the day, British/commonwealth forces with 25pdrs v a German Para unit ? Either as attacker/defender ?
