Just for  a chat.
Nothing like PBI but still an approach to infantry platoons in action.

Here are the 50+ year old WRG infantry action rules.
It covers slightly smaller games than PBI.

I think they would still suit  many players, which shows they are still valid (?).
Many of the mechanisms are still in use today by rule sets.

I have these and played them a long time a go. I know of at least a couple of people that are still playing them regularly and adding in one or two of their own modifications.

My memory is they were rather good, but it must be 30 years since I read them .

Wow - they are certainly of their time. Very quaint, but I feel quite glad that we've moved on from those days.

I did notice a game of the original Ak 47 in our club at the weekend going on. Was nice to see.

I also have a copy of these, along with several other sets/periods of the same vintage.
Used them at my secondary schools war games club at the time.

These wold be pretty early on in what we know as wargaming of modern times  ie Featherstone and beyond.
