I don't think you can buy the Toyotas yet though...I can see an 'Add to Cart' button anyway.

These will form part of my order to collect at the Weekender  which come tomorrow we can say is next month  ;D

Colonel Kilgore

You are indeed correct, Sean.

I'm assuming this is an oversight, as they were on the PP stand at Colours, and very nice they are too!

Simon

Colonel Kilgore

Mind you, you are a day ahead of the rest of the country. I'm going to have to wait until Tuesday to be able to say that WWW is next month  ;D

Today is my last day of retirement as I start my new job tomorrow. It's clearly addled my brain 🤣

Colonel Kilgore

Good luck tomorrow, Sean - I hope you manage to maintain your high level of wargames output post-retirement.

Quote from: Sean Clark on September 28, 2024, 09:25:52 AMAs per the list  FJ have to be veteran.

Ah, but this is a scenario!

Actually, the FJ list is ripe for revision. Later in the war, one could argue that certain units were Average at best.

Simon

This would seem to fit in with James Hollands book.

In a stroke of luck, I've just been gifted a box of plastic FJ by a friend with whom I was chatting about PBI and Cassino. Now I've not painted anything that hasn't been Peter Pig in a long time and I feel a bit guilty that I might now not need any other FJ. So to assuage the guilt I'll have to buy something else like the new shanty buildings or Toyotas when they're released!

Well I'm rather underwhelmed by the plastic Fallschirmjager. Not much detail and some distinctly 'Airfix' type poses. They will get a quick paint job and I'm sure still fight valiantly, but I don't like them at all 😅🤣

John Watson

Are they Plastic Soldier Company or Flames Of War, Sean?

I've painted PSC early war Germans and late war British. I agree that the detail is lacking and some of the poses questionable, but I found them easy to paint and I thought they looked ok once completed and based. However far inferior to the piggy equivalents. The FOW figures are better. The thing that disappoints me about both is the price. I thought that when plastics came onto the market one of their selling points was that they were about half the price of metals, but this differential has disappeared. Martin's figures are still the best and worth every penny.

I concur.  I haven't bought these - they were gifted, so if I don't get along with them  not out of pocket.

What is the current summary of games, along with the runners and riders Stewart?
