My reward for getting lucky in the first game was to face Stewart's hordes of shooty Egyptians in the second.

The Romans (not least their commander) got thoroughly confused fighting a very different kind of foe. Fortunately, few lived to tell the tale of their sound thrashing to the folks back home.
