Julian Bonny, who was organising the event, has sadly left this Forum. So I'm afraid most if not all of us here are unaware of plans for that event.

My guess is that, in the absence of the regular updates that Julian was so good at providing, it's unlikely to be going ahead.

That said, there is a lot of support here for AK47, which would leave the door open to others wishing to put on an AK47 event then or at some other time.

I have a fairly good idea what Julian had in mind for the next event.
The PP games were provided by different attendees e.g. my York group brought 1 or 2 different games to previous events. I was planning to put on a Western Battles game at the March 18th event using the rule set I won at the previous events raffle.

That's not the issue. It's whether Element Games still has the booking for March 18th. If so I'll see if there is any interest.

I'd be happy to assist in the planning John. If the booking is still there, I'm sure we can put something together. Maybe come up with a different name as Game Up North was Julian's baby.

Just a quick update as promised:-

I spoke to the venue today. The guy said that the list of events DID NOT show a booking for us on 18th March. He said to be sure though it would be wise to email their Events Manager. I've done that and also asked about other availability.

I also discovered that Julian gave me his email address. I've sent him a polite message just asking if he had arranged any games with people as we were keen to keep his hard work going.

I suspect we won't have an event on 18/3 unfortunately. I'm sure with Sean's help we can make one happen sometime after that.

I'm working on relaunching this in the Autumn with Sean C.
Sean has come up with a cracking new name which we'll be revealed soon.
I'm planning to do the PP Western game in 28mm.
Chose that because I won the Rules (signed by Martin !) in the raffle at the last GUN.

I saw Dave Knight (who posted the original query) at the York show at the weekend and told him where things had got to.
