I have some of the warhammer historical/ancient books.
I think they are very good.
Have other members seen them or own them??
Are they still available?

martin :)

John Watson

I have a number of them too. I used too use the rules for dark ages games in 25/28mm. I would be very surprised if they were still in print, but they are probably on eBay.

I have the chariot one, the Roman, and a few more.

I think they went out of print when Warhammer Historical folded.

I have one of each except for the WWII version and the Napoleonic version.  They all go for hefty prices on eBay now.  But I would never sell mine.

You can find most of the books on the internet in *.pdf for download.

Thanks Les

Then i recomend folk get them if the price is good.

I had a few of them but I really should get around to selling them as they are just taking up space

Most of the ones I have found are free or a donation.

Very helpful Les

Do post the links here.
I am assuming you will only direct  members to sites blessed /allowed by  GW.
We must not direct members here to illegal pirate sites please.

thanks

Warhammer Historical folded years ago, how long does the copyright last?

Colonel Kilgore

About 70 years after the author's death, Les?

Simon

John Watson

I believe that most, if not all, of the authors are still with us.
John

You should this thread down then Simon so as we cannot encourage any copyright infringements.

Colonel Kilgore

I think this has been a genuine and "legal discussion on whether these books were still available, and if so on what basis.

I don't think anyone was recommending infringing copyrights, Les. Your own reference to PDF documents being available online was the only thing I can see that might possibly be construed in that way, and I'm sure you didn't intend it as such.

So, unless anyone else feels that any of this can be misinterpreted, I'm minded to keep this thread open as long as people have an interest in the discussion.
