Can't remember what number it is.
However, it is a small parts mould.
Carolingian heads and shields.
Arab head.
Tudor head sabot.
Knick knacks....

Luckily not too hot in the workshop. ???

Hope you all enjoy the weather this coming week. Maybe a swim?

martin :)

Thanks Martin,
Carolingians - another army maybe?

Went sea swimming last night 1900  - just like a warm bath,
Went this morning 0830 - cool, going again tonight

Great news on the Carolingians, Martin - looking forward to this mini-range.

And very jealous of your sea swims, Stewart.  You didn't invite me yesterday!

Simon you were busy killing and plundering all before you
Before running off with your plunder to the wild north.

Maybe next time you visit the south?

Ok, I'll ask as no one else has, what is a head sabot? As in Tudor head sabot.

As for a swim I have been every day since Wednesday and tomorrow I'm going on a trip in a semi submersible, but I am on holiday in Crete. The earth is a orange shade here.

Best wishes,
Martin Buck

Sorry Martin.
Workshop speak. :)

I make a head. Cast it and put 4 into a strip (sabot). Then I cast the sabot 20 times and Mike makes a production mould.
When we first started doing heads we would cast ahead 20 x and put them in a 6" mould. The heads had to be individually broken off the sprue and counted into packs.
With the sabot, less heads roll off  and get lost at our end and the  player's end too.

Martin,
Thank you for the explanation.

Best wishes,

Tudor heads -looking forward to seeing what they are like. Are the WotR heads going to be available soon? I rather fancy putting together an Army Royal in 15mm for the early C16th, like the 28mm stuff being done by Stuart Mulligan

Caroliningians? For Wrath of the Vikings?

I was tempted to buy some Franks from Lancashire qs they have a summer sale...but if there are Carolingians coming from PP I'll wait!

The cogs turn slowly but Carolingians are the next secret range.  They will join the longships range.

And very welcome they will be - I've been enjoying reading the Osprey books on the topic, and should provide a very different type of force for Longships.

Appreciate the Arab heads.  Hopefully will work with the WWI Turks.
