Does anyone know if anyone out there makes 15mm ACW US Marines with the big wide cross belts like in the photo below?   Compatible with Peter Pig of course.
Thanks

QRF also sells US Marines, but again in the same pose with shako. I doubt very much that the Marines went into action wearing the shako.

Would a 'paint' conversion not be possible?

Pardon my ignorance but surely the Marines had much the same uniform and equipment as the army, just with whites rather than blue or grey? In 15mm a crossbelt would have to be about 4 inches wider than usual to register a 1mm extra on the equivalent model... You'd be hard put to notice such nuances on the tabletop...

I don't think it would look right Sean.  I just want a different unusual unit to add to my army.  Break up those blues.

1. French kepi rather than forage cap
2. NCO stripes point up
3. Looser trouser bottoms.
4. Officer double breasted coat and knot shoulder pieces

Hope that adds to the  post?

Better than mine do...! ;D
Perhaps kepi headswaps are in order, being the most notable visual difference... worked a treat for my Mexican militia with Aussie/Gurkha style upturned brimmed hats...

I owned a unit of these back in my Fire and Fury days. Caliver produce them and turnaround is apparently good. I'll look forward to seeing them painted up if you go with them!

Their not as pretty as Peter Pig figs.  If I get them I'll probably lop the heads off and replace with a Kepi.

sukhe_bator (Neil)

They have a bit of a staid parade ground look to me... I tend to think of Marines as a more flexible, informal formation more akin to the LI or rifles of the Peninsular War but I may be incorrect in that assumption...

pbeccas (Paul)

They just fought as line infantry in the ACW.  More fodder for the gods of war.
