I blame it all on your use of dice. Maybe you need to learn to roll them with your feet or get an app on your phone! Could always use one of those spinny dice.

Ooooh!  https://www.random.org/dice/ lets you roll up to 20 d6 at a time :)

Thanks to Stewart for organising today and for letting me share his army. Despite using my unlucky yellow piggy dice, we won both games, so I may stick with Stewart in future.

Thanks to Martin, Derek, John, Miles and Richard for joining in too, and to Chris for popping in for a chat and some retail therapy on his way to work.

Entoyment is a great and very friendly venue, with lots of goodies to tempt the wallet!

Some pictures from my first game: Stewart and Simon defending against Derek and Miles.

Early on:

Things looking a bit grim as we got pushed back:

Regaining the centre for those vital additional Ward control victory points:

The shameless runners-up - who would have guessed that they'd got 4 of their generals, including a king, killed?

No worries John. You can borrow my weighted D6 if that helps?
A lot of generals died though.

It would be interesting to run such a day, but players roll  D6 to select a random historical battle from those offered?

Hi guys,

Sorry to say this but the wife was feeling a little "rough" last night and this morning did a home test that has come up positive.  I feel a bit embarrassed about this as we have manged to go the whole time since lock-down started keeping clear of the "lurgy".  I haven't come up positive .........  yet!

Just thought you should know.

Martin, can you let Entoyment know please.  I don't have any contact details for them.

Hopefully you will all be ok. Most of what is around now seems to be mild.

Annoying thing is we had a lot of things booked for the next week after having so long with nothing booked.  Tickets for the War of the Worlds concert at the Bic, Wife has a horse tack sale and also has an experience day painting highland cows (not sure how they get them to stand still that long though! lol).

Thanks for those words.   We could still go do things but and play dumb but just couldn't do that.  I know, old fashioned types!

I will post on this thread if/when I test positive. Just wanted you to be aware. We are all gents of a certain age!

Thanks Derek. Honesty appreciated.

Take care of yourself. These are strange times indeed.

Thanks for letting us know, Derek.

I do hope your wife recovers soon, and that you manage to dodge the lurgy.
