Dark Ages army - so far

Wel...

It's over a year ago I started painting thinking I would get enough Dark Ages forces to pay Wrath with DBX bases and likely use the models for ADLG as well as other games. I did do into some Normans knights etc but this all really for the 800 to 1100 time period.

Here is the status of the audit over New Years and here is the result:

I have over 2200 figs here and I still have multiple ships in the lead pile to paint plus potentially a load more figs as I extend the collection. I do need to get the rules of Wrath a read again and try that on the table soon.

So far? Somebody likes Vikings.

Yes... I have a load in 28mm as well.

I need some skirmishing slingers - although not common I found a few needed in some ADLG lists.

Also I have 6 ships to paint - for Wrath and other things and I also want to do some more dogs and a Christian priest large marker or two.

I'm working on Gauls/Germans at present.

I have done almost all my Dark Ages stuff in 28mm for Dan Mersey's rules (Glutter of Ravens and then Dux Bellorum). I am considering some Vikings/Irish for a bit of raiding of the Welsh coast. I grew up in Llandudno where the Great Orme is named by the Vikings, and also did my degree at Nottingham and both of my postgrad qualifications at Ormskirk, close to home in Formby - all three being Viking settlements.
