Creating a unit of the Sonoran National Guard equipped as per regular Federal troops but sporting less formal straw hats and fedoras/straw brimmed hats turned up on one side. 7 of the 8 Government troops 11/11 have a mix of Australian/Gurkha heads 6/16 and Spanish Civil War peasant straw hat heads 6/125. Cowboy hatted MexRev infantry with a Government CO will complete this 12 man unit.

Hi Neil,
Very good idea and well executed.

Best wishes,

Added another 12 infantry and had a stab at some mounted variants using Federal and Sombrero toting cavalry

And rolling off the production line though still w.i.p., two companies of Sonoran National Guard in a variety of headgear... I particularly like the officer in bush hat with raised sword, I think he came out particularly well...

Colonel Kilgore

I'd say they came out pretty well, Neil - nice job!

Thanks Martin,
The look is mostly down to the extra heads that add character to already characterful figures. I'm not sure fairly straightforward headswaps merit a Mill article, unless you'd like me to feature some background and possibly the other unusual units I have fielded as well such as the Border Guards, Mex Navy and Rurales etc.?
