Seeing the thread about train movement I serendipitously then stumbled upon several mentions (one link below) of more unorthodox tactics involving trains such as creating a "loco-loco" or "maquina loco" by packing them with explosive and sending them into enemy held towns to detonate. Apparently both sides indulged in this practice. Just wondered if the rules might make provision for this spectacularly bonkers tactic?

And lets not forget the other tactic - "Think you used enough dynamite there, Butch!?"
A "loco-loco" could be a single wagon entering on table using Martin's movement points system
Nominating the direction of an incline/gradient would spice things up a bit adding acceleration/deceleration... (a +plus or -minus on movement perhaps?).
If it collides with a n other item on the track - KABOOM! (roll for a possible time delay?) allowing for 'anti-loco-loco' barricades perhaps? ;)

It's been good seeing the various threads charting the evolution of the rules, I'm really looking forward to getting a look when they're finished.
