Mainly the internet. Might have even been off the old RFCM yahoo group ?
Those I printed off myself, cut and stuck on.
I thought as interest is growing in HI I had better dust off my old fleet and resurrect what needed doing etc.

The CSS Georgia is basically a extra fort the confederate side can use.

Flags... my achilles heel for this game. I'd like to suggest/wish Peter Pig (or someone here) could make a page of flags available for 1/600 scale Federal and Confederate ships in PDF format in the download section (or sell it). finding flags to mount on my 1/600 ACW ships is getting to be a real challenge. Basic stars and bars/stars and stripes flags would be good enough.

I'm sure Miles uploaded some to the old group.

Commander Klank

Where is "the old group" at?...

Ben Waterhouse

Tumbling dice has flags in 1/2400, could you resize them? (Is this ethical if you only resize on a one for one bought basis?)

Sean Clark

Apologies Jerry,

I'm talking of the now defunct Yahoo Group. There was really good content on there, now lost I'm afraid

Colonel Kilgore

As luck would have it, Miles kindly lent me a sheet of said flags, which I have scanned.

Is it OK to post them here, Miles?

I was just looking through some old subjects.
I came across this one started by Martin last summer.
Challenge accepted, even though to be fair it wasn't quite a challenge....
But nevertheless with the other Ironclads I was doing it was wrong not to make this, as it's been pointed out as much a blockade ship as anything, but have 10 guns firing in "all" directions is good.
My pictures of the CSS Georgia, but as of yet painted fully, give me a few weeks and it will.

The flurry of ship images over the past 12 months is really inspirational.

I ve painted some of my ships from Xmas including CSS Georgia.

Looking good, Miles, but you've got distracted again - maybe field some of those in place of your Grants on Saturday?  ;D

I do particularly like the red deck - very stand-out - and is that a ram on it too? Which ship is that?

That is CSS Virginia. They coloured her like that as when she is in the water you only actually see the black metal iron structure. The rest of it is in or under the water.
PP models there. CSS Nashville, CSS Virginia, USS Essex.
With the Scratch built CSS Arkansas(Coloured A red brown apparently to keep her concealed on the "Red River") and CSS Georgia. These are completed.
With PP CSS Selma being converted into the CSS Morgan(it's not quite correct hull configuration) a 90 day gunboat converted to represent a captured one, a Convert PP USS Ozark to represent a supply boat and PP USS Onondaga with added details.

Thanks for the information, Miles.

Interesting stuff!
