It never rains but it pours.
After too many months with no games (the last one was back in November 2020 I think) all of a sudden things are going crazy. I've had two Bloody Barons games with Martin. I have a PBI 8th Army v Afrika Korps with Miles on Tuesday. I have a game arranged of ADLG on 29th. Bloody Barons wasn't too hard to remember from the last WWW but we made a few mistakes. PBI should be ok as I've played it a lot in the past, but I have never played ADLG and I have also been persuaded to have a game of Furioso. So that's two sets of rules to read which are new to me. Oh and that doesn't include the long anticipated square bash between Derek's Italians and my Austrians.
Quiet times really!

Same as in lockdown. I set up the table and have a fun solo game with nobody to please but myself and no need to continue when I start to run out of puff. Just had Maximilian and Louis knocking the living daylights out of each other's gendarmes and pike blocks. Great fun.

I'm making my first trip south on 18 months on Monday. Hopefully be playing 5 or 6 games. The following week I'm hoping to play SCW with a friend at my house.

After that, who knows. My club reopens on 2nd July, but if enough members don't turn up, I'm afraid our club will fold 😕

So near and yet so far Sean.
Game with Ralph, David, and Sylvain on Monday.

Bank holiday on Monday here.

Sean, how far South are you coming?

I'm stopping just short of driving into the sea 😅🌊🚘

I'm stopping with Martin for a couple of days.

Sean, hope to see you on Tuesday for a Mexican Revolution game at PPHQ then.
Stewart was fully immersed in the game on Thursday, with his own Sombrero.
He and Chris won with their Government Army  by a strong margin against the rebels of Martin and I.
I enjoyed  the game which was easy to assimilate, even at my first attempt.

It's 210 miles to Weymouth. I've a tank full of diesel and half a packet of custard creams.

Let's hit it!

Looking forward to seeing you Mike!

Are you not missing some chocolate biscuits as an offering to the dice gods at the PP HQ altar?

Not sure which of those two fuels will run out before you hit the Dorset county line.

Nice terrain boards.

John in York

My first game tonight at the York Club post lock down. Hammerin Iron will make a nice change from Bayonet & Ideology. It will be good to use some of the ships I painted whilst the club was shut.
