Damm! Never did that I thought it was for squirting people as they walked past   ;D

OK, now we have that straight is Martin going to supply the water fountains?

Colonel Kilgore

That would be nice if Martin could - I will vote to plug them up.

Some possible themes for such a group build could be:
- a 15 Mill gamette "game set" (painted figures + game board / scenery) - either for a specific gamette or maybe free choice to entrants
- a "curiosity" from the vast PP range (building on the water fountain idea, I've always wanted to do the French pissoir, but never had an excuse to do so)

If you do a group build it needs to be something everyone can be involved in
Eg, a cavalry unit, a infantry unit, a command stand, a building, an objective marker, an artillery piece or battery, a support weapon, etc etc.

I think a Peter Pig piece would be nice, but not prohibitive from entering.

So a pissoir or gamete as a theme is good, but not essential to use PP items.

Although of course I will, as I have them  :P

But maybe a cavalry unit pre 1900 suitable for use in any RFCM rules would be a good place to start.

I really like the idea of the gamette as one theme. The trench raid is a favourite, especially if people build the board like Stewart did.

Also the duel set is great as it's about 6 figures. Some great fun can be had with that.

Hi,
My apologies for not explaining what a group build is.

Here's my list of possible Group Build themes copied from the Pink Pig Award thread:

I have been thinking about themes and have come up with the following:

1, Head swap: one or more bases of figures each base must include at least two head swapped figures.
2, Command: a command base for a unit for a RFCM ruleset.
3, Transport: a vehicle or animal (including humans) carrying goods or passengers can include water vessels.
4, Support: a base or bases featuring a support weapon or team e.g. artillery piece etc.
5, Water: anything to do with water, a piece of terrain depicting water or water vessel (a boat or ship rather than a bucket or urn etc.) or troops associated with water marines, naval infantry etc.
6, Marker: an objective marker or an in game marker.
7, Template: a piece of terrain which conforms to a template for a RFCM ruleset.
8, Collectable: one or more figures from the PP Collectable Figures range.

These are just my suggestions and I'm happy for others to add their thoughts.

Best wishes,
Martin Buck

They are perfect Martin.

Build it and they will come.

I am happy to get stuck in with whatever you organise Martin.
Thanks for doing it too.

I will supply a prize for the winner.

Do a group vote on the painting subject mid-month.  Like now for a June paint challenge.  Put up three options and the most voted for one should be the subject.  Knowing the subject a couple of weeks early will let us gather the required figures.

Hi Paul,
It was my intention to put up a poll for the theme once the current poll had ended for the first group build to start mid June and run for a month.

I'll select 3 categories and put up a poll tomorrow (Friday).

Best wishes,
Martin

Sounds like it could be a nice little palette cleanser as a break from whatever army you are currently painting, such as the death by brown paint example we have previously been given by Radar.
